The dolls used in this print are 70-80 year old antiques. I used 400 T-Max film for this photograph. Candlelight was used to emphasize certain features of the doll. Thanks to

Daily DeviationGiven 2009-06-12"I've got a secret......" by ~prototype000 shows that the essence of horror photography is in the atmosphere created by the artist. Antique subjects lit with candles and shot on film make this way more than just another creepy doll photo. Be sure to full-view for awesome texture-y goodness! As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. Giants seem smallest when your standing.
This is a very good composition which is utilizing the rule of two thirds well. The contrast caused by the candle light is very effective in creating a dark mood and gives a lot of meaning to the title of the piece. The piece also conveys a sense of what we toss away from childhood and discarded. The cropping seems well done as well. Can't really think of anything else to say about it .
